in learning about the most recent progress in your research and
would like to get a paper from you. The Conference Chairs are:

Position Statement
In this conference we focus on the imaging aspects of color
hard copy. The following conferences may offer a more appropriate
forum for non-algorithmic issues:
Changes From Last Year
- Short and sweet: Start every day at earliest time and finish
at the latest time, but hear the same number of papers in 3 days
- Avoid overlaps: Wednesday to Friday. Session of common interest
to Vision and Quality attendees are on Friday (issue: speaker's
breakfast)
- Power start: strong invited speakers on Wednesday morning
to kick off with a bang
- Take advantage of the poster sessions. Only the top 60 or
less papers will be accepted for oral presentation
- Panel discussion moved from evening (too many overlaps) to
late afternoon, if possible in common with Vision and Quality
conferences
- Every session starts with a 10 minute introduction by the
session Chair, who will outline the papers and put them in context
- Every session will end with a 10 minute summary by the session
Chair and the opportunity for general questions from the audience
(similar to NIP)
- Proceedings will be available on-site at the conference

Note: Late abstract submissions may be considered, subject to
program time availability and Chair's approval
- Final program due at SPIE:
14 July 1997
- Course descriptions due from instructors: 4 August 1997
- Written notification of acceptance mailed to authors: 3
November 1997
Electronic notification
of acceptance: 15 September 1997
- Revised abstract for the final program: 24 November 1997
- Manuscript Due Date: 3 November 1997
- The duration of contributed papers is 15+5 minutes. Invited
papers occupy two slots (40 minutes)
