Optics & Imaging in the Information Age

PROGRAM:
Papers are being solicited for the special conference
Optics & Imaging in the Information Age. This conference will focus
on imaging topics that overlap the two fields of optics and electronic imaging.
It is jointly sponsored by the Optical Society of America and the Society
for Imaging.
Science and Technology and will be held co-located
with the 1996 OSA Annual Meeting in Rochester, New York.
Several sessions have been organized around the topics
of digital cameras, digital printing, medical imaging, imaging systems analysis,
input scanning, and optical data storage. In addition, there will be many
joint sessions with the OSA annual meeting which will include topics such
as: 3-D imaging, pattern recognition, computed imaging, spectral imaging,
X-ray imaging, astronomical imaging, metrics for image quality assessment,
and imaging of the retina.
A large number of invited speakers and tutorial speakers
have already been arranged for these sessions. There will be a published
proceedings, of the Optics & Imaging meeting, containing extended abstracts
of two to ten pages in length.
SUBMISSIONS:
To contribute a paper to the Optics & Imaging meeting,
please submit a 50 word abstract by April 24, 1996.
