In our lab, we put this cleaner to the test by smearing laminate counters with oil, jam, crayons and permanent marker. In each case, we attempted to clean the mess with one spray of the product, one piece of paper towel and no more than 10 wipes. Both the oil and jam came off fairly easily, although each mess left behind some residue. Most of the crayon marks came off quickly with zero scrubbing required, although our editors felt sections covered with thicker crayon wax would benefit from a longer soaking time. In the permanent marker test, we weren’t able to fully remove the ink in our lab, but we did significantly decrease the stain. Getting rid of stains from walls and countertops was a breeze for our testers, and most found leftover streaks wern't an issue. Overall, our parent testers said the rooms in their homes felt fresh after using this surface spray.

There are no complicated instructions on this all-natural cleaner: “Shake well before use. Spray and wipe.” It also includes a warning (as do most other products) to use on a small, inconspicuous area first. One parent tester said they'd like to know which types of surfaces to avoid, which is not indicated on the packaging. In our lab, we found it was easy to unlock the product and the bottle's thin neck allowed for a good grip. We found the trigger easy to pull, which releases a frothy spray so you can easily see where the product lands; however, the spray tended to dribble down the bottle and get on our hands.
