I met first Giordano and then Yoko in Giuliana’s office at PARC, and then over the years I saw them there. So it seems to me that that small room has acted as a lens converging two diverging personalities into a common focal point: Giordano’s somber and somewhat dark view of the world with Yoko’s courageous optimistic drive. And in fact their union has been happy and fruitful until the last weekend when Yoko’s life has been cruelly cut off. But her incredibly moving last wish to have her ashes divided between Japan, America and Switzerland shows that her death is not destructive. Her spirit remains with us to urge us to carry our destiny on. Let us see her rest in peace, and let us live on with her memory within us!
